Radiant Mind, Effortless Being: Drinking the Ultimate Medicine, at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY

This 5-day retreat takes you to the end of the path, to a place that is free of all pressure and obligation. There, you can finally be who you really are without pride, embarrassment, or artificiality, and discover the experience that is known in Buddhism as the “ultimate medicine.” In this state, you’re totally complete and fulfilled with everything just as it is.

Peter Fenner, an innovator in the field of nondual psychotherapy, is your guide as you journey to this place of deep stillness and natural serenity.

Everything is accomplished without doing anything at all. You discover how to enter and stabilize effortless being so it flows through all your actions: sitting, walking, talking, working, and playing. You return home with a deeply embodied recognition of your own true nature and a greatly enhanced capacity to live from this state in daily life.

Science & Nonduality Conference 2010 in San Rafael, CA

The Science and Nonduality Conference is part seminar, part festival, part conference.

This new annual event in the Bay Area explores how science combines with meditation, therapy, philosophy, art, music and movement to point the way to nondual experience. Have a look at the wonderful line-up of conference speakers.
Peter will be leading a workshop on Thursday afternoon and a meditation on Friday morning. He will also co-lead an experiential presentation on Friday, and a panel discussion on Sunday which is sponsored by the Institute for Nondual Wisdom and Psychotherapy. These events are described below.

Thursday October 21, 2-6pm

Peter’s Workshop: "Nondual Transmission: sharing unconditioned awareness"

Some people feel that the transmission of nondual awareness, by its very nature, is inexplicable and beyond all sense of comprehension and understanding. This workshop demonstrates and describes a skill set (upaya) that supports the induction of nondual awareness in groups and individuals.
It will be of value to therapists, coaches, facilitators, meditation instructors, nondual teachers and anyone who feels that their way of being in the world is transforming those around them.

Friday October 22, 9am - 12:30pm

Experiential Presentation: "Arising and Dissolving: The Spontaneous Play of Nondual Awareness"

Facilitators: Kenneth Bradford, Peter Fenner, Dorothy Hunt, Kaisa Puhakka, John Prendergast (moderator)

There is a Vastness beyond time, beyond mind, beyond thoughts of "me," "you" or even "That." Called by many names, it is where all names cease, all conceptualization dissolves, yet simultaneously it is the ground of all arising. There is no separate "subject" who "realizes," and true Understanding cannot be made into an object. Yet, the Mystery is ever-present, awake, spontaneously expressing itself as this moment, this body, this appearance and disappearance. When thought lets go of needing to control, we see from beyond separation what is actually present, and begin to speak from Nondual Awareness rather than about it. We see life’s spontaneous and dynamic play arising and dissolving moment to moment.

Sunday October 24, 2-3pm

Panel Discussion: "Waiter, there’s a Nondualist in My Soup! New Contexts for Nonduality: Resistance, Acceptance, and the Future of Nonduality"

Panel: Stanley Sobottka, Jay Michaelson, Peter Fenner, Jerry Katz (moderator)

This discussion panel brings together people who are introducing nonduality in new ways to audiences largely unfamiliar with nondual thought. We explore their form of nonduality, how it is expressed, how it changes their field of knowledge; the where, why, and how of resistances to their work, and how resistances are dealt with. Acceptance of their work is also discussed. We ask whether there is a nonduality movement or whether nonduality is merely spreading as a teaching, and what the difference is. The personal is considered as well: how did each panelist stumble into nonduality and how did nonduality drop into the context of their life work? What advice do they have for people meeting resistance to ideas of nonduality and for people needing assistance integrating the teaching of nonduality into their work?

Image of Radiant Mind Book Whether it is called enlightenment, pure awareness, or "unconditioned awareness," there exists an awakened state of pure liberation that is at the heart of every contemplative tradition. According to Peter Fenner, this experience of boundless consciousness does not have to exist separately from our day-to-day, "conditioned" existence...
